A Refreshing Spring Look

Today is graduation day for me! But, I still need to update this bad boy for you guys, right?! Well, now that all the Graduation shenanigans are done (for now) I’ll update you guys a bit on this look and a little bit about the event I attended on Thursday!

On Thursday, I was so honored to be invited and chosen as one of the 40 most influential bloggers in Chicago! I had an absolute blast at the Westfield FashBash. Louise Roe & The Everygirl were also present giving a mini speech on blogging and what it takes. The whole shabby chic/vintage look of the place at the cube in Old Orchard Mall was so beautiful. I just want to thank everyone who took part at this wonderful event to make it all come together and a special thank you to Westfield for the beautiful gifts! I’m definitely looking forward to the next event!

This look to me is just so refreshing! I think it’s the color palette…I absolutely love white with any light colored combo, don’t you? H&M lately has been really stepping up their game because I just go a bit clothing crazy once i’m in there and that’s where I spotted this little gem of a top!

I hope you guys enjoy this look dolls!

Shirt Dress Two Ways

Hello, hello my loves! I found these 2 shirt dresses at H&M and i’m loving the subtleness of the plain one and the print on the floral one. You can wear either one depending on your mood and what you’re into. I decided to show off both of them and I honestly could not just choose one when I was buying them. I also think they would be great to wear with just a solid colored dress [maybe i’ll do another look as well ;)]. As always love bugs I hope you guys enjoyed this look and feel free to comment and email for what you would like to see next!

xoxo, Joann

Vintage

Happy Saturday! So I’ve been enjoying the beautiful weather lately here in Chicago and you know what that means…spring-wear is in full effect! I want to give a big thank you to eShakti so much for the lovely dress. I had a lot of fun playing around with it. I added some color to the dress by adding a accent belt that I found at Francesca’s and the bracelet I found at Charming Charlie. The dress was the perfect fit & the best thing about eShakti is that you can customize your order! They offer great products so be sure to check them out! I will be posting the links below. Enjoy lovelies!

California Dreamin

Hello love bugs!!! It feels like forever since i’ve last posted! Well…it has been. Unfortunately, I’ve been extremely busy with school, traveling & my new internship. Graduating in May is going to be bittersweet. I’ve also started a new internship with CelebTV for the CW which is oh so exciting for my career, but I promise to get back to doing regular blog posts.

I was in California for a week and just got back this past Tuesday and let me just tell you…I did NOT want to come back! I decided to do a post about it and some of the outfits I wore out while being there. Also, for all my Cali lovers I’ll give you guys a list of MUST try places. Stay tuned because I have lots of posts i’m about to start pumping out!

Happy Easter loves!

Must Try Places—  (Just a few of my favorite spots)

Moonshadows in Malibu— Stunning views & great food

Santa Monica Pier

Katana in Beverly Hills—one of the best restaurants hands down

Boa in Beverly Hills— If you’re a meat eater & love steak this is your place!

Glass Hookah, Xai & Leon Cafe & Lounge- Great for hookah & food (Xai has a beautiful outdoor patio)

Hollywood Sign

Hollywood Walk of Fame

Rodeo Drive (Heaven on Earth)

Perch— Beautiful rooftop & I’d recommend going on a Sunday night

Bungalow in Santa Monica— A cool shabby chic place to grab drinks (you’re better off coming early or on a Sunday)

800 Degress Pizza–-A Chipotle concept for pizza?! Yes please! So tasty…yum

Joan On Third— Cute place for brunch, love the outdoor seating & delicious food

The Roof On Wilshire— Rooftop place for brunch/lunch, you can also take a quick dip in the pool and watch the beautiful view with a drink or two

Khaki + Nudes

Hello beauties! I’m sorry I’ve been MIA for quite a while. I started school and have been quite busy. I’m back on track now! So for todays post I decided to do it on these two lovely colors that are trending almost everywhere. Khaki & nude, such a beautiful color combo! I kept the look quite simple to focus really just on the style of the outfit.

p.s. I’m shooting indoors for a bit because it is extremely freezing outside, but I cannot wait to be back out and about!

Hope you guys love it & please feel free to comment and/or e-mail me anything you guys would like to see next.

xxx, Joann
